Let’s get weird.

Nothing makes me happier than people who just love to have fun! I knew this group was going to be a blast from the second I walked in and the bride says, “Shannyn, I’ve got a surprise and you’re gonna love it!”

Jennifer, the bride, proceeded to tell me how she was going to do a “first look” and that Michael, the groom, was 100% against it. But little did he know, this wasn’t going to be your traditional first look.

We set up the scene, got everyone in place, poor Michael was shaking in anticipation. (I felt so guilty! Especially when he asked me how beautiful she was!? I just had to go with it!)

The “bride” approached...

I’ll just let the photos say the rest...

***no groomsmen were injured in the making of this “first look”.

Well, everyone conspired, one of the bridesmaids brought her wedding dress and they somehow talked a groomsmen into putting it on!

Thank you for being an awesome sport! ^^^

You just can’t go through life being serious all of the time 😜

Loosen up & get weird!

(Please note that I don’t think it’s weird for a man to wear a dress. By all means, you do you! But in this situation, we made it weird 😜)

Lauren & Dave are Married!

Lauren & Dave are Married!

Lauren and Dave had the sweetest wedding in Thomasville, NC on their family land, affectionately referred to as "The Compound". The sky was beautiful as storms danced around in the distance creating a very interesting view, but not a drop of rain landed on the compound. The ceremony was held in the shade of a jaw-dropping tree with white draping that blew in the warm breeze. As they said their "I dos" the sun flickered through the mighty tree giving the event a beautiful glow.

The reception was full of dancing, pie, and Lauren's infectious laughter. It couldn't have went any better in my book.

Congratulations Lauren & Dave! May your years together as husband and wife be the best ones yet!

Lets Make It Martin

There is nothing more than I love seeing than pure chemistry between my couples and let me tell you, Seth & Jessica have it! I had a blast walking around Willstella Farm with them and hearing about the plans for their wedding day. Its so refreshing to see the groom so involved! Most of the grooms are like, "yeah, whatever you want babe." But Seth is right there with Jessica helping, I love it! And can we just talk about the light for a second?! It was PERFECT! "Im just a girl that lives for Golden Hour."
